Parking near Millennium Park Chicago
One of the most amazing places to visit is Millennium Park in Downtown Chicago. During the summer there is endless free entertainment and the spectacle of the glorious architecture of the city of Chicago plus great shopping. Although parking is expensive in public and private garages, there is one place nearby where, if you can find a spot, it is relatively cheap. Columbus Drive behind the Art Institute of Chicago has metered parking from 10 am to 4 pm every day and then after 6 pm in the evening. The cost is .25 cents for 15 minutes but that is a lot less for a few hours than $22.00 at Millennium Park garage. Grant Park garage is across the street and they only charge $13.00 a day. This is also a very good deal. Chicago has plenty of easy to use but slow public transportation. In the summer there is free trolley service in the downtown area.
